DataPath Awarded $6.6 Million for U.S. Army SATCOM Terminals

Contract Continues Resets, Repairs and Upgrades, Including Ka Band Compatibility, to JNN/WIN-T Battlefield SATCOM Systems

Duluth, Ga. – March 24, 2008 – DataPath, Inc., a leading provider of satellite and wireless communications networks around the world, has been awarded $6.6 million to continue resets, repairs and upgrades to DataPath Satellite Transportable Terminals (STTs) and Unit Hub SATCOM Trucks (UHSTs) used in the U.S. Army's Joint Network Node (JNN)/ Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) program. This delivery order is part of a previously announced four-year contract with the Army that has a potential value of up to $270 million for the company. Work under the delivery order includes resets and repairs to terminals returning from the battlefield, as well as upgrades that include compatibility for Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) Ka band and cold weather operation. DataPath engineers and field technical experts will perform the work at DataPath's facilities as well as at various Army locations.

"Our work establishing the JNN network with the U.S. Army and deploying more than 800 rugged, mobile STTs demonstrated our ability to deliver advanced battlefield communications capabilities for any situation," said Steve Lindeman, vice president and general manager of DataPath's Integrated Systems and Services division. "Under this reset contract, we continue to work closely with the Army to enhance the deployed SATCOM terminals that enable high-bandwidth communications out to forward-operating bases in theater."

Program Manager WIN-T's Commercial SATCOM Terminal Program at the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command in Fort Monmouth, N.J., awarded the delivery order through the Worldwide Satellite Systems contract.
