Installation Support Engineer

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Installation Engineer provides technical assistance for all internal and external DataPath Customers on all fielded DataPath Communications Systems. SatCom Tech Support Engineers will be highly skilled in all of the various DataPath product lines and will provide support to both Government and commercial customers

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for the installation and upgrade of all fielded DataPath systems

- Documenting all installation and upgrade related problems and problem resolutions via the Customer Service Ticketing system

- Developing and distributing technical support documentation and/or field bulletins to assist customers and field support personnel in troubleshooting.

- Up to 90% travel may be expected in both CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of DataPath systems.

- Other Duties as Assigned

Candidate Requirements:

Candidate will be responsible for technically supporting all fielded DataPath communications systems. Candidate should have excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Candidates must also have the following background:

- 5-7 years experience assembling/disassembling commercial antennas of various sizes up to 11 meter

- Successful completion of CRC is required for this position

- Extensive travel via commercial and military means is required

- Experience in installation of electrical and gas de-ice systems

- Minimum of 5-7 years working in the Satellite Communications (or a similar) field

- Experience in light Civil Works required for system installations

- Excellent writing skills and telephone etiquette

- Familiarity with problem tracking/management systems

- Familiarity problem management

- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution background
