Christopher C. Melton, Sr. is the Chairman of the Board and interim CEO for DataPath, Inc.. Mr. Melton also serves as Director of a number of privately held companies and has over 30 years of business experience with a particular emphasis on corporate turnarounds and business restructuring. Prior to joining DataPath, he was Chief Executive Officer of CNP, Inc., a business-to-business technology and service provider. Prior to his post at CNP, he was CEO of Amplified Holdings, a leading provider of digital technology to the retail and media industries. Prior to his positions at CNP and Amplified, Mr. Melton spent 19 years at IBM, where he served in numerous executive positions in sales, marketing, finance and operations in the Americas and the Asia Pacific region, including Chief Financial Officer for IBM’s Asia Pacific Services Corporation and President of IBM Asia Pacific Investment Corporation. Prior to his departure from IBM, Mr. Melton served as the senior executive responsible for IBM’s eCommerce business in the Americas for the Financial Services Industry.
Mr. Melton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of South Alabama and has attended postgraduate education at Harvard University, Columbia University, Babson College and Thunderbird University. Mr. Melton has previously served as Director of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce board. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Business Executive for National Security, Society of International Business Fellows and a number of non-profit and faith based organization boards.
As DataPath’s Chief Operating Officer Brad will support the company as it expands in scale and continues its focus on quality and efficiency. Brad assumes a broad base of responsibilities including engineering and technology, processes and quality, information systems, supply chain, program management, logistics, technical services, and customer care. A satellite-industry veteran, Majeres brings extensive leadership experience to DataPath, having previously served as a business line general manager and head of engineering, program management, and operations at organizations including ViaSat, General Dynamics, and Scientific Atlanta. Brad is a proud graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and has devoted his career to innovation and excellence in the Satellite Communications industry.
Carter Johnson serves as DataPath’s SVP and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining DataPath he was a SVP of Finance with Meggitt. Additionally, he was the Senior Finance Officer of Barco’s Aerospace and Defense Division for five years. His previous experience includes leadership roles in several technology and software firms with responsibilities in Finance, Technology, Project Management, Procurement, and Business Operations.
Before moving into the private sector, Carter served in the US Army as an Aviation Officer and Comptroller. His assignments included multiple command, operations, and intelligence positions in the states and overseas. As a Colonel in the Army Reserve, Carter is currently serves as a liaison officer with NORTHCOM.
Carter has an MBA from Syracuse University, is a graduate of the Defense Comptroller Program, and recently completed the US Army’s War College. Carter is a Certified Defense Financial Manager.
As Senior Vice President of US and Government Sales, Mr. Benedict is responsible for achievement of company sales and business development objectives for US commercial, US Government and 5 Eyes customer markets. Kevin brings over 25 years’ experience in the satellite development, operations, and acquisition area having held numerous senior-level business development, strategic planning and program management positions at several defense contractors including SES Government Solutions, Raytheon, Ball Aerospace and SAIC. Prior to joining the defense industry, Kevin served as a career U.S. Air Force officer with positions in Satellite Acquisition, Space Launch Operations, and High Performance Computing. Kevin holds an Executive MBA with emphasis on international business from the University of Colorado, a Master of Science in Space Operations and Space Systems Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, a Master of Arts in Human Resources Development from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Colorado Technical University.
As Vice President of International and Commercial Sales, Mr. Drachmann is responsible for both commercial and international military markets. Mr. Drachmann brings 25 years of experience in delivering large-scale revenue, profit, and market share growth for companies in the telecommunications and entertainment industries. Prior to joining DataPath, Mr. Drachmann served in a number of senior leadership positions with telecommunications giant Nokia, in a range of roles from product development, to sales and marketing, to running regional operations. He has executive MBA training from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering and Electronics from the Technical University of Denmark.
As DataPath’s Vice President & General Manager of Satellite Ground Systems, Renee is responsible for delivery of DataPath products and services to commercial and government customers. In this role, she leads the Program Management team, provides customer management interface, and develops programmatic excellence for a successful customer experience. Renee is responsible for the Professional Services team the 24×7 Network Operations Center activities and the specialized Integrated Logistics Services. Renee’s leadership at DataPath follows a distinguished career at AT&T, Inc. where she achieved numerous management positions in software development and management of operation centers. Renee attended University of Georgia. She holds a BA in Computer Science and is a native of the Atlanta area.
As Vice President of Capture and Contracts, David Hall is responsible for leading the Capture, Sales Engineering, Proposals, Contracts, Subcontracts, and Trade Compliance business areas within DataPath. Mr. Hall brings over 25 years of diverse aerospace and defense industry experience to the company. He is former a career Air Force officer and has worked for major defense and aerospace companies such as Raytheon, Thales, ITT, and Embraer. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management from Troy State University. In addition, David earned both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Aeronautics degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
As VP of Human Resources & Legal, Deirdre Macbeth is responsible for leading the human resources and legal strategies, initiatives and operations of DataPath. She focuses on building strong partnerships to shape both the business and HR/legal strategy as well as implementing HR/legal solutions that facilitate long-term growth initiatives. Prior to joining DatPath, Deirdre most recently served as a versatile senior leader of Airports Worldwide, a global airport management company, as Head of Human Resources & Corporate Counsel and previously worked as an attorney in private practice specializing in labor & employment, corporate and contract law. Deirdre is an active member of the Florida State Bar. She received her law degree from The Ohio State University and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Georgia.
