As President and CEO, David Myers is responsible for re-establishing DataPath as a vibrant independent company, after its 2014 spin-out from a division of a publically traded defense contractor. With a track record of building market leadership in companies serving both commercial and government clients, David’s 20 year career spans both business and technical disciplines. Best known for developing innovative product offerings that enable growth and entry into new markets, David also prioritizes building a high-performance customer-service focused culture, as the key to improving business fundamentals and driving long-term strategic growth. David’s previous roles have included, Chief Commercial Officer for Harris CapRock, President of CapRock Government Solutions, Chief Marketing Officer for ITC Global, and Senior Vice President for Spacenet. David holds an MBA in Technology Marketing from Rice University, an MS in Computer Information Systems from Madison University, and undergraduate degrees in Business and International Relations from Southern Methodist University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI).
As Senior Vice President and CFO, Emmett Moore is responsible for partnering with the CEO to rebuild DataPath’s back office after its 2014 carve-out from Rockwell Collins. For over 25 years, Emmett has been in senior financial leadership roles at private and public companies ranging in size from 40 to 3,000 people. During this time, he has raised more the $2 billion in equity and debt capital including two initial Public Offerings: one in 1997 for CBS SportsLine and another in 2006 for DataPath, Inc. His primary responsibilities at DataPath included building a contracts department, staffing, managing pricing, overseeing accounting & finance, building banking relationships and managing all investor and M&A activity. After receiving his BA from Dartmouth College in 1988, he started work in public accounting with Ernst and Young and received his Masters in Accounting and MBA from New York University in 1993. He became a New York State CPA in 1990 and became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 1998.
Peggy Rowe serves as Vice President of Software and Cyber Solutions at DataPath, where she is responsible for the development, support and delivery of software and cyber security products, services and solutions. Ms. Rowe has over 25 years of experience in a wide range of complex communications technologies that serve both the commercial and government sectors. Ms. Rowe originally joined DataPath in its infancy in 2002, and has played an integral role in the company’s technical management and leadership of its software products and delivery, including MaxView®, an industry-leading suite of network management tools. Prior to DataPath and Rockwell Collins, Ms. Rowe managed software development teams at Scientific Research Corporation and Georgia Tech Research Institute. Ms. Rowe graduated with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and a Bachelor of Science from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi.
As Vice President of Marketing & Product Management, Michael Barnes leads the company’s product management function across all of DataPath’s lines of business, including Custom Satellite Communications Systems, Portable Satellite Terminals, MaxView ® Monitor and Control Software, Cyber Security, and Network Mobility. In addition, Michael is responsible for marketing, quality management and all global supply chain activities including sourcing, procurement and logistics. Michael brings a distinguished track record in marketing and product management, having successfully launched products for leading telecommunications companies including EarthLink, Cox Communications, Verizon Business, MCI, and GTE. He holds an MBA from the Anderson School at the University of California Los Angeles and a BA in Physics from Cornell University.
As Vice President of Capture and Contracts, David Hall is responsible for leading the Capture, Sales Engineering, Proposals, Contracts, Subcontracts, and Trade Compliance business areas within DataPath. Mr. Hall brings over 25 years of diverse aerospace and defense industry experience to the company. He is former a career Air Force officer and has worked for major defense and aerospace companies such as Raytheon, Thales, ITT, and Embraer. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management from Troy State University. In addition, David earned both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Aeronautics degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
As DataPath’s Vice President of Satellite & Mobile Products, Jason Freeland is responsible for acquiring and analyzing information for new products & market opportunities, and communicating insights to DataPath leadership and stakeholders. He also works with company leadership to develop tactical action plans for accomplishing the business Annual Strategic Plan. Mr. Freeland brings nearly 15 years of experience in providing strategic planning and operational leadership for an array of clients, including the U.S. DoD Military Health System and one of the largest global design & construction firms. Prior to completing an MBA at Emory University in 2013, he served as a Vice President for Heery International where he provided strategic planning and market analysis in addition to delivering client solutions for capital investment planning related to facilities infrastructure.
As Vice President of International and Commercial Sales, Mr. Drachmann is responsible for both commercial and international military markets. Mr. Drachmann brings 25 years of experience in delivering large-scale revenue, profit, and market share growth for companies in the telecommunications and entertainment industries. Prior to joining DataPath, Mr. Drachmann served in a number of senior leadership positions with telecommunications giant Nokia, in a range of roles from product development, to sales and marketing, to running regional operations. He has executive MBA training from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering and Electronics from the Technical University of Denmark.
As DataPath’s Vice President of Operations, Renee is responsible for delivery of DataPath products and services to commercial and government customers. In this role, she leads the Program Management team, provides customer management interface, and develops programmatic excellence for a successful customer experience. Renee is responsible for the Professional Services team the 24×7 Network Operations Center activities and the specialized Integrated Logistics Services. Renee’s leadership at DataPath follows a distinguished career at AT&T, Inc. where she achieved numerous management positions in software development and management of operation centers. Renee attended University of Georgia. She holds a BA in Computer Science and is a native of the Atlanta area.
As DataPath’s Vice President of Global Engineering and Technology, Dr. Tong is responsible for product quality and innovation, helping the company to bring exciting new technologies to market. Dr. Tong has previously held senior leadership positions with Andrew Corporation (now Commscope), ASC Signals and Cobham SATCOM. He holds a BSc (Electronic Engineering) degree and a PhD in Satellite Communication Antennas from London University, and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario. Dr. George Tong, a thirty year veteran of the satellite industry, has been instrumental in the development of antennas in a broad range of sizes and operating frequencies for Communication-On-The-Pause (COTP) and Communication-On-The-Move (COTM) terminals for use in Mobile Satellite Services (MSS), Fixed Satellite Services (FSS) and High Throughput Satellites (HTS) markets.
Patricia Kellner oversees the company’s global Human Resources department. Ms. Kellner brings over 16 years of experience as a human resources leader. She has broad experience over a variety of industries including healthcare, transportation, mining, and hospitality. Her experience includes serving in Human Resources roles for Emory Healthcare, Colonial Pipeline, Imerys, and Hooters of America. Patricia also holds both the SPHR and the SHRM-SCP certifications. She holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia and a Bachelor of Business Administration from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.
As Senior Vice President of US and Government Sales, Mr. Benedict is responsible for achievement of company sales and business development objectives for US commercial, US Government and 5 Eyes customer markets. Kevin brings over 25 years’ experience in the satellite development, operations, and acquisition area having held numerous senior-level business development, strategic planning and program management positions at several defense contractors including SES Government Solutions, Raytheon, Ball Aerospace and SAIC. Prior to joining the defense industry, Kevin served as a career U.S. Air Force officer with positions in Satellite Acquisition, Space Launch Operations, and High Performance Computing. Kevin holds an Executive MBA with emphasis on international business from the University of Colorado, a Master of Science in Space Operations and Space Systems Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, a Master of Arts in Human Resources Development from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Colorado Technical University.
