Duluth, Georgia — November 5, 2018–DataPath, Inc., a leading provider of advanced and secure communications solutions, announced today it will present an industry paper on improving security and flexibility in military satellite communications at the MILCIS 2018 Exposition and Conference in Canberra, Australia.
Tony Sewell, DataPath’s Senior Sales Director, Satellite Ground Systems, will discuss how the communications industry is developing technologies and hardware to combat the emerging threats to military communications and how those efforts also can increase C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) system flexibility.
The paper, titled “Digital Multi-Mode, Multi-Mission Satellite Communications Solutions,” will be presented during MILCIS’s first-day sessions on Tuesday, November 13.
MILCIS is held each year under the sponsorship of Australia’s Defence Chief Information Officer Group in partnership with the University of New South Wales, Canberra and the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers. It is the only Australian conference that focuses on the technologies, products, systems and services associated with military communications and information systems.
“As communications technologies converge, we find that a systems-based approach can potentially achieve significantly greater flexibility for mission planners while maximizing economies over the life of the systems,” Sewell said.
“My presentation reviews the integration of several new technologies and communication techniques to address operations in this increasingly congested and contested environment. And, since defense missions also use commercial and military communications capabilities, I also discuss how these technologies can reduce life cycle costs and improve flexibility to operate across emerging communications platforms,” he said.
