Duluth, GA – August 7, 2025 — Gilat DataPath (DataPath, Inc.), a leading provider of advanced and secure communications solutions and technical support services, today announced they have participated in a summer intern program organized and funded by the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in conjunction with the University of North Georgia.
Under the Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute Partnership for Inclusive Innovation, Gilat DataPath has hosted two student interns at the company for the past eight weeks. Gilat DataPath’s interns, Rodney Ruiz and Savannah Jones, rising seniors at the University of North Georgia, worked alongside the company’s MaxView® software team and focused on innovative improvements related to AI in manufacturing.
“Gilat DataPath was pleased to participate in this year’s summer intern program,” said Blake Medley, Director of Software Products for Gilat DataPath. “This was a very useful exercise that provided us the opportunity to think of AI from a company perspective, specifically some initial challenges related to process and security. We look forward to participating in similar programs in the future.”
